Frequently asked questions

Class structure

What does the class consist of?

A combination of independent work and interaction with the instructor and class gives you the learning reinforcement your need. There are, three independent assignments, as well as in-session group projects. The class meets weekly in a virtual classroom to cover new content, work on projects, and answer questions from the three independent assignments.

How do I interact with the instructor and other students?

In addition to the virtual classroom, a private Unity Connect Group will be available so that you can share your assignments with the instructor between classes, ask questions, get feedback and gain the support of both your instructor and fellow participants. The instructor will also hold optional “office hours” in the Unity Connect Group to be available for specific questions.

Do I have to join the private Unity Connect Group?

While not required, it is highly recommended that you join this Unity Connect Group so that you can continue to benefit from the support of your instructor and classmates.

What other support can I get?

In addition to session times, the instructor will be supporting an online, private, community on Unity Connect where learners can post their assignments, ask for feedback or ask questions, and share learning. The instructor will hold optional office hours in this private community to be available for questions outside of class.

Practical matters

What happens if I miss a session?

It is highly recommended that you attend all sessions. There will be a community on Unity Connect where you can continue to participate between sessions and get the assignments to work independently.

Do I need to provide my own project?

No. This class will provide a full project to work on. You can apply all that you learn to your own projects during the class as well as bring those questions to your instructor and cohort.
